[email protected]Bio
Originally from Izmir, Turkey, Sidar came to the United States as an international student, an experience that shaped his passion for helping others navigate new academic and professional paths. Having worked in public and private sectors as an international education and transfer specialist, Sidar draws on those experiences to guide students through transitions, academic advising, and career counseling, helping them move forward with confidence.
Outside of work, Sidar enjoys time with his family, playing drums and bass along to 90s alternative rock, tending his garden, and cooking Mediterranean dishes in his home kitchen.
Sidar’s Advice for Students: Exploring is a legitimate stage, not a delay. The goal is to be intentional about it, so that every course you take teaches you something about what you like and what you’re good at, even if it doesn’t lead to a major. Treat being undecided as a strength!!!
