Academic Coaching

Academic Coaching is for students who are committed to improving their academic performance. Academic coaches use tools to help students evaluate their strengths, set goals, and to practice effective study habits. Trained academic coaches work one-on-one with students on a weekly basis to develop successful habits by focusing on the students’ unique strengths and areas of growth and serve as an accountability partner to the student.

Topics May Include

  • Time Management
  • Effective Note Taking
  • Study Skills
  • Procrastination
  • Using Resources Effectively
  • Test Preparation

Academic Coaching is a resource for Exploratory Studies and Academic Advising Programs and Services students.  If you are interested in working with a coach this semester please complete a student referral form and the coordinator of academic coaching will connect you with an academic coach.  If you have any questions please contact LeNelle Patrick, Academic Coaching Coordinator at ljpatric@ncsu.edu.
