ASC Drop-In Advising

Academic Success Center (ASC) provides drop-in academic advising for current NC State undergraduate students to address quick advising questions. ASC Drop-In Advising is not meant to replace a student’s assigned academic advisor.

Please note that ASC Drop-In advisors cannot release a student’s advising hold on MyPack for class registration and enrollment.

During the COVID-19 period of restrictions, students using ASC Drop-In Advising will be advised virtually.

  • Tuesday 4 to 6 p.m. ET
  • Wednesday 4 to 6 p.m. ET

Due to high demand, advising sessions may be limited to 15 minutes. Submit your request to talk to an ASC advisor at least 15 minutes prior to the drop-in closing time listed above (for example, if the session ends at 6 p.m., submit your request by 5:45 p.m.).  For Spring 2021, ASC Drop-In Advising is offered from Tuesday, January 19, through Wednesday, April 28.

Submit your request for academic advising via ASC Drop-In Academic Advising Request.

  • This form will only be available during the times listed above.
  • Check your NC State email account. You will receive an email invitation to join a Zoom advising session or you will receive an answer to your question.
  • Zoom advising sessions:  join the Zoom session via your computer or by calling the phone number listed in the emailed invite.
  • Log into or call the Zoom session within 5 minutes of the email receipt.

If the ASC Drop In Academic Advising Request Google Form is not accepting responses, then it is outside the designated day’s 2-hour session OR we have reached our limit of students who can be served.

If you need assistance outside the scheduled drop-in hours listed above, you may submit your questions to NC State’s Virtual Advisor.
