Academic Advising Services (AAS) provides quality and timely advising services to students and faculty to facilitate academic success, major selection, career development, and personal enrichment. Current or former NC State undergraduate degree students in transition are the priority population for Academic Advising Services (AAS).
AAS is a collaborative of cross-curricular professional advisors who partner to provide walk-in, face-to-face, and virtual advising to undergraduate students exploring majors; current information on General Education, declaring majors & minors, and academic policies; and advising support and development to faculty and staff across the campus.
AAS offers walk-in advising to the following groups of students:
- Students exploring majors or changing to a new major.
- Prospective external transfer students, for whom the focus of advising services will be majors offered at NC State and review of degree program requirements; questions about transfer admission requirements should be directed to Undergraduate Admissions
- Non-degree studies (NDS) students, which may include former NCSU undergraduate degree students.
Students may also work with AAS advisors via email (Ask an Advisor) or call 919-515-8130.
